We invite citizens of Ukraine to attend the Cloud Operations on AWS course. It is for System administrators and operators who are operating in the AWS Cloud, Informational technology workers who want to increase their system operations knowledge.
This course teaches system administrators, operators, and anyone performing day-to-day operations in the AWS Cloud how to install, configure, automate, monitor, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the services, networks, and systems on AWS necessary to support business applications from an expert AWS instructor. The course also covers specific AWS features, tools, and best practices related to these functions.
This course will also help you prepare for the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate exam.
This Cloud Operations on AWS training is held in Ukrainian, however, the AWS Certification exam (online test proctoring) will be held in English only. If you don’t speak English, please find additional language learning options after you register on IT Skills 4U program.
Program details
- Audience: Ukrainians from 18 years old from anywhere across the globe, who have access to the Internet, time, and desire to master the AWS Cloud direction, and are interested in finding a job in the Cloud industry (number of participants is limited).
- Format: virtual instructor-led training (vILT) with hands-on practice in sandbox. You must be able to attend a minimum of 80% of classes in real-time.
- Schedule and duration: 2 weeks (detailed schedule is available below).
- Language: lectures and consultations in Ukrainian, educational materials in English.
- Start of vILT: participants get access to courses after passing the selection. If you don't pass the selection for the main program, you can register for the introductory self-paced courses (see details below).
Participants who have completed individual training modules and final testing will receive free vouchers for the AWS Certification exam, to help validate their skills.
Что необходимо для успешного обучения:
- Be certified AWS Cloud Practitioner;
- A background in either software development or systems administration;
- Proficiency in maintaining operating systems at the command line, such as shell scripting in Linux environments or cmd/PowerShell in Windows;
- Familiarity with general networking concepts and IP addressing. For refresh or improve your knowledge in this direction we recommend you take the module "Networking" in the DevOps Essentials Self-Paced training program and “Linux” as well;
- Working knowledge of distributed systems (please, read and understand e.g. link), multi-tier architectures (please, read and understand e.g. link);
- Working knowledge of Containerization (Docker docs);
- Working knowledge of Client - Server systems (please, read and understand e.g. link), Web - Server (please, read and understand e.g. link);
- Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts (please, read and understand e.g. link), IaC concepts (please, read and understand e.g. link);
- Minimum of B1+ English level, desire to participate in technical trainings, and afterwards be ready for job interviews in English. If you don’t speak English, please find additional language learning options after you register on IT Skills 4U program;
Как присоединиться к программе?
- Click the "Register" button on this page, create your profile and fill in all the required information. The confirmation email will be sent to you afterwards.
- Upload your AWS Cloud Practitioner certificate to the profile.
- Pass the English test. English test will be available for passing in your profile at training.epam.ua after the registration. Please, complete it BEFORE MOVING ONTO THE NEXT STEP.
- Pass the Technical Test. The test will be available for passing at the landing page or training.epam.ua after the registration, or at examinator.epam.com. Please, complete it before moving forward.
- Join a short video call to confirm your Ukrainian citizenship and your English level. Instructions will be sent to your email after you successfully finish the previous steps.
- Receive an invitation to join the Instructor-led training (in case of successful completion of all the selection stages). The invitation for vILT will be sent to your email.

Schedule and duration
- 16-20, 23-24 October: vILT, 17:00-21:00 (total 28 hours),
- 26, 27 October vILT, exam preparation workshop, 17:30-21:00 (total 7 hours).
Note! The schedule is specified by Kyiv time (UTC+02:00).
You will learn to:
- Identify the AWS services that support the different phases of Operational Excellence, an AWS Well-Architected Framework pillar.
- Manage access to AWS resources using AWS accounts and organizations and AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Maintain an inventory of in-use AWS resources by using AWS services, such as AWS Systems Manager, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS Config.
- Develop a resource deployment strategy using metadata tags, Amazon Machine Images (AMIs), and AWS Control Tower to deploy and maintain an AWS cloud environment.

What is IT Skills 4U program?
IT Skills 4U is a joint training program for Ukrainian citizens organized by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP). EPAM, an AWS-authorized training partner, offers virtual classes with certified instructors.
The IT Skills 4U program is open to all Ukrainians interested in switching to IT or advancing their IT career by learning Amazon Web Services Cloud skills. The studying is hosted on a specially created web platform, where learners will get online self-paced courses; access to instructor-led training delivered by accredited AWS Training Partners; vouchers the AWS Certification exams; English-language classes; soft skills development sessions; other support to help launch and advance one's career in tech.
All resources will be tailored to one's level of IT experience; both beginners and experienced IT specialists looking for new opportunities will find suitable materials at this course. After a short self-assessment of skills, learners will receive personalized study plans with recommended training courses that they can complete at their own pace.
